Fall Into Place

It’s been over a year since I’ve moved from North Carolina. The leaves have begun to change color and fall. This time of year I always become self reflective and like to think about how the year has gone and what’s in store for the next few months. While I can’t say this year has been a breeze, I have been able to grow and change in so many ways.

I think the most impactful moments so far were my trips to Jamaica & Germany. I was able to see how different cultures live and those experiences opened my eyes to so much the world has to offer. As cliche as it may sound, as I’ve continued to discover and learn about myself, I’ve become more confused and lost. In a realm of so many possibilities it’s hard to know what to choose and where to go.

Regardless, things happen as they must and everything has a purpose. It’s hard to not get caught up with nostalgia or to reminisce when life moves this quickly. It’s comforting but stagnant. I probably should embrace change like the leaves. Nature is the best teacher.

Enjoy the moment. Be present. :)
